160723-N-FF224-017 ELIZABETH RIVER, Va. (July 23, 2016) Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class Juan Fernandez performs counter surveillance aboard USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77) as the ship leaves Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) after completing a 13-month planned incremental availability. GHWB will now conduct sea trials in collaboration with NNSY to evaluate Sailors' performance in addition to testing equipment and systems. After a successful completion, GHWB will return to her homeport of Norfolk, Virginia, and enter a training and qualification cycle in preparation for a 2017 deployment.
