160722-N-YD641-038 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 22, 2016) Yeoman Seaman Michael Williams, from Riverdale, Georgia, tops off a sundae for Culinary Specialist Seaman (SW) Jarius Basinger, from Knoxville, Tennessee, during an ice cream social on the mess decks of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). More than 300 Sailors partook in a wide variety of desserts and toppings to go with their ice cream, ranging from cookies and brownies to hot fudge and flavored syrups. Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
