Kyrgyz women mourn the loss of a Manas patriot who died during the Great Patriotic War (World War II) during the Victory Day ceremony in Manas Village, Kyrgyzstan, May 9, 2010. The mayor invited Col. Blaine Holt and Chief Master Sgt. James Dowell, the director and command chief for the Transit Center at Manas, to participate in the celebration, which marked the end of the Nazi regime. During the event, this memorial wall was unveiled with about 50 names etched in stone of Manas patriots who died during the war, including this woman's loved one.
