A highly-decorated veteran of the Great Patriotic War (World War II) speaks to the people of Manas Village, Kyrgyzstan, during a Victory Day ceremony May 9, 2010. U.S. Air Force Col. Blaine Holt, the director of the Transit Center (center), also attended the event, which was hosted by the Mayor of Manas, Mr. Beshimbaev Kabylbek. During the ceremony, celebrating of the end of the Nazi regime, a memorial wall was unveiled with about 50 names etched in stone of village patriots who died during the war.
