U.S. Army Reserve 1st Lt. Cynthia Freudenthal, left, and Sgt. Freudenthal is a critical care registered nurse, and Maltz is health care specialist, both for the 405th Combat Support Hospital. The exercise is a joint effort between the Chadian government, U.S. Army Africa, the 405th CSH, 7th Mission Support Command and the 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) from the U.S. Army Reserve from June 6 to 22, 2016. MEDRETE 16-3 serves as an opportunity for U.S. and Chadian forces to hone and strengthen their life saving skills as well as reinforce the partnership between both countries.
