The U.S. Army Reserve Col. Ali Zaza, a general surgeon with the 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support), performs surgery on a patient as it reflects off of his glasses at the Hopital Militaire D’Instruction in N’Djamena, Chad June 17 during combined exercise Medical Readiness Training Exercise or known as MEDRETE 16-3. The exercise is a joint effort between the Chadian government, U.S. Army Africa, the 405th CSH, 7th Mission Support Command and the 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) from the U.S. Army Reserve from June 6 to 22, 2016. MEDRETE 16-3 serves as an opportunity for U.S. and Chadian forces to hone and strengthen their life saving skills as well as reinforce the partnership between both countries.
