U.S. Army Staff Sgt. David DeMarest, far left, and Sgt. DeMarest, an emergency care sergeant, and Maltz, a health care specialist, both with the 405th Combat Support Hospital, gave an instructional class on procedures taken by U.S. Army medics. The exercise was a joint effort between the Chadian government, U.S. Army Africa, the 405th CSH, 7th Mission Support Command and the 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) from the U.S. Army Reserve from June 6 to 22, 2016. MEDRETE 16-3 serves as an opportunity for U.S. and Chadian forces to hone and strengthen their life saving skills as well as reinforce the partnership between both countries.
