U.S. Army Lt. Col. Plooster speaks at the closing ceremony of Medical Training Exercise or known as MEDRETE 16-3 at the Hopital Militaire D’Instruction in N’Djamena, Chad June 22. Plooster is the acting U.S. Army Africa Surgeon. The exercise was a joint effort between the Chadian government, U.S. Army Africa, the 405th CSH, 7th Mission Support Command and the 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) from the U.S. Army Reserve from June 6 to 22, 2016. MEDRETE 16-3 serves as an opportunity for U.S. and Chadian forces to hone and strengthen their life saving skills as well as reinforce the partnership between both countries.
