GULF OF OMAN (Aug. 25, 2016) Lt. Larry Person, from Riverdale, Ga., acts as the alongside conning officer under the instruction of Cmdr. Stephen W. Aldridge, from Springfield, Va., on the port bridge wing of the guided-missile destroyer USS Mason (DDG 87) during a replenishment-at-sea with the auxiliary oiler replenishment ship RFA Fort Victoria . Mason, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
