SOUTH CHINA SEA (Sep. 3, 2016) Two MH-60R helicopters, assigned to the “Warbirds” and “Devilfish” detachments of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 49, fly in formation near the guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) while underway in the South China Sea Sep. 3, 2016. Spruance along with the guided-missile destroyers USS Momsen (DDG 92) and USS Decatur (DDG 73), and embarked HSM 49, are deployed in support of maritime security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific as part of a U.S. 3rd Fleet Pacific Surface Action Group (PAC SAG) under Commander, Destroyer Squadron (CDS) 31.
