ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 1, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Jessica Reyna, a Sacramento, Calif., native, grinds down a hatch stanchion in the machinery repair shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). As a hull technician on Ike, Reynar is responsible for conducting metal work aboard the ship. Ike and its carrier strike group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
