A Jordan Armed Forces Arab Army (JAF) explosive ordinance technician examines an abandoned vehicle while Marine Staff Sgt. Tim Thompson observes and explains his techniques during a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) mitigation training exercise January 18, 2017, at a military base near Amman, Jordan. The JAF personnel demonstrated their ability to detect an unexploded hazard, preform a security cordon in the area, identify and remove possible chemical hazards and decontaminate exposed personnel. Soldiers from U.S. Army Central, U.S. Marines from around southwest Asia and JAF personnel participated in the exercise to practice interoperability and share best practices.
