U.S. Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) specialists inspect a piece of unexploded ordinance (UXO) during a CBRN mitigation exercise January 18, 2017, at a military base near Amman, Jordan. The exercise provided an opportunity for Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) personnel to demonstrate their UXO and CBRN capabilities while working alongside their U.S. counterparts. Soldiers from U.S. Army Central and U.S. Marines from around southwest Asia participated with the JAF in the exercise, enhancing interoperability and sharing best practices.
