Army Master Sgt. Ronald Evans, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) specialist removes “contaminated” clothing during a CBRN mitigation exercise January 18, 2017, at a military base near Amman, Jordan. Evans is assisted by CBRN specialists from the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF). The exercise provided an opportunity for service members from U.S. Army Central, U.S. Marines and the JAF to work together on executing their counter-unexploded ordinance and CBRN techniques. The JAF personnel demonstrated their UXO and CBRN decontamination capabilities to their counterparts while U.S. participants aided in area security and chemical detection.
