Derrick Churchman, an MV-22 airframe mechanic with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, poses for a photo after securing chains on a U.S. Marine MV-22 Osprey, assigned to on the USS Makin Island (LHD 8) Dec. 27. At sea, static aircraft must be secured to the deck of the ship for safety of the crew.
