USS MAKIN ISLAND, Gulf of Aden (Dec. 27, 2016) U.S. Marine Cpl .Jesus Godinez, an MV-22 flight line mechanic with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, turns a jack while removing an engine of an MV-22 Osprey on the USS Makin Island (LHD 8) Dec. 27. The jack enabled Godinez to safely lower the engine in a steady motion for the Marines below to secure it onto an engine transportation trailer. The 11th MEU is currently supporting U.S. 5th Fleet’s mission to promote and maintain stability and security in the region. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. April L. Price)
