USS MAKIN ISLAND, Gulf of Aden (Dec. 27, 2016) U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepare to remove an engine from an MV-22 Osprey on the USS Makin Island (LHD 8) Dec. 27. The Marines worked together to remove the 2,000 plus pound engine in less than three hours. The 11th MEU is currently supporting U.S. 5th Fleet’s mission to promote and maintain stability and security in the region. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. April L. Price)
