PORT ORCHARD, Washington (March 16, 2017) Operations Specialist 2nd Class Jean Gutierrezcaraballo from Yuaca, Puerto Rico, assigned to USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), disposes of yard debris during a community service event at Washington State Veterans Home. Sailors assigned to John C. Stennis took part in several community service events over two weeks in order to enhance relationships with the community. John C. Stennis is conducting a planned incremental availability (PIA) at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, during which the ship is undergoing scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
