Family members of Maj. Gen. Francisco A. Espaillat pay their respects to their recently deceased husband, father and mentor during a memorial service conducted in his honor April 14, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Oviedo, Fla. Espaillat, the former commanding general of the 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), died April 7 while conducting personal physical training in Ft. Bragg, N.C. Hundreds of Soldiers who once served with Espaillat joined his family to express their condolences and pay their respects for a Soldier whose 35-year career spanned multiple commands across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
