Ulrich Wielzen, a medic with the Suriname army, assists a Suriname woman in testing a pair of eye glasses, Tuesday, June 21, 2011, in the optometry office at a local clinic during the 2011 New Horizons Training Exercise. Free medical services are being provided for the people of Suriname, including eye glasses donated by Lions Clubs from the U.S., throughout the Medical Readiness Training Exercise portion of New Horizons. New Horizons is a cooperative humanitarian mission between the Suriname government and the United States Southern Command with the goal of helping to improve the quality of life for the people of Suriname.
