Surinamese children are among the many residents of Suriname visiting local clinics where free medical services being provided by the U.S. military during the 2011 New Horizons Training Exercise. Dental, optometry, dermatology, family medicine, pediatrics, and pharmacy services are all being offered to the people of the South American country. New Horizons is a cooperative humanitarian mission between the Suriname government and the United States Southern Command with the goal of helping to improve the quality of life for the people of Suriname.
