FAJARDO, Puerto Rico, January 30, 2018 - Trucks haul damaged vessels to be delivered to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) so they can dispose of them. These vessels pass through a process of final disposal of toxic materials. The Enviromental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and FEMA, has the mission of identifying and disposing of properly vessels and their hazardous waste and electronics during the recovery after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico last September.
