During TS11 on Townshend Island in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area U.S. and Australian Defence Force troops conducted the combined joint live fire exercise, which culminated in the execution of a fully integrated live fire drill. Direct fire power from U.S. FA-18 and Australian FA-18 Super Hornets, Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopters, U.S. Marine 81mm Mortar Platoon, Weapons Company, BLT 2/7, and ships from the Australian and U.S. Navy participated in the exercise as well as joint tactical attack controllers who coordinated the fire power for the day and night serials.
