Soldiers and families of the the 327th Engineer Company did what they could to keep cool at the unit's Family Day event at the American Legion in Onalaska, Wis., Aug. 17. Many of the unit's soldiers recently returned form the heat of Iraq and Afghanistan six months ago. The most difficult part of the transition for many soldiers is to "re-orientate your focus back onto your family," said Lt. Gen. Jack C. Stultz, who attended the event with his wife, Laura. He continued by explaining that during deployment "You focus all your efforts on their safety, your safety and the mission." The heat of this particular day gave those words poignancy.
