Soldiers and family members of the 327th Engineer Company play four-way tug-of-war during the unit's Family Day event held at the American Legion in Onalaska, Wis., Aug. 17. This day reminds them that even though soldiers returned from deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan six months ago, they are still part of the Army family. Being apart after returning was the strangest part of reintegration for some of the soldiers. "People that we saw everyday -- you wake up and their not there," said Spc. Timothy S. Butz. "Because over there you're never alone," elaborated his battle buddy Spc. Justin J. Peterson. Events like this remind the soldiers and families that they are a family.
