A Texas Guardsmen from 3rd Battalion 133rd Field Artillery Regiment, El Paso, on deployment to the Presidio Customs and Border Protection Border Patrol station on the U.S./Mexico border takes a closer look to the underside of an ATV during a routine maintenance check, 23 May. Spc. Daniel Almodovar and the other Guardsmen supporting the mission of getting ‘more badges back to the border’ make a tangible impact every time a they take one of the non-enforcement positions agents, typically, get detailed off the line to do, such as fleet, maintenance and weapons or administrative duties.
