Texas Guardsmen from El Paso's 3rd Battalion 133 Field Artillery Regiment assist at the Del Rio sector's weapons range for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol Agents by literally digging in to clear the ever-present dirt from the mechanics of the pneumatic range. The troops efforts cut the workloads of the CBP agents running the range and lessen the time the range is down. Border Patrol Agents must qualify with their weapons every quarter and part of the Guardsmen’s mission, getting more badges back to the border, is assisting with keeping their vehicles, ATVs and ranges mission ready. Sgt. Sergio Delgado (left) and Sgt. Andrew Cabello (middle) wait for the CBP Agent to clear away with the bulldozer under the hot Texas sun May 16, 2018.
