In the effort to put 'badges back to the border' Texas Guardsmen from 3rd Battalion 133rd Field Artillery Regiment, El Paso, directly impact the mission every time a service member takes on one of the non-enforcement positions agents, typically, get detailed off the line to do, such as fleet, maintenance and weapons ranges. The service members eliminate or reduce the number of Agents needed to perform the non-enforcement duties. The Range Safety Officer is a familiar position to many NCO's, here, Sgt. 1st Class Robert Dubowitz assists the Customs and Border Protection, El Paso Border Patrol station agents with range set-up and tear down, scoring and ensuring safe weapons handling, 14 May.
