The USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) and the USS Antietam (CG 54) steam through the Gulf of Oman at sunset. Stennis and Antietam, as part of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, are on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Maritime Operations. Maritime Operations help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts to the regional nations.
