The USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) and the USS Rushmore (LSD 47) steam through the Gulf of Oman. Bonhomme Richard and Rushmore, as part of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group, are on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Maritime Operations. Maritime Operations help set the conditions for security and stability, as well as aid counter-terrorism and security efforts to regional nations.
