    A C-17 Globemaster III Aircraft belonging to the 145th Airlift Wing of the North Carolina Air National Guard (NCANG) sits in front of the main hangar on Pope Army Airfield during the NCANG’s first C-17 mission to the base, while at Pope Army Airfield, Fayetteville North Carolina, August 1, 2018. The mission to Pope Field is the first of what is hoped to be many, by October the 145th Airlift Wing plans to begin supporting Airdrop missions with weekly flights to Pope Field, picking up Soldiers and Cargo for regular Airborne operations.
