The flight crew of a North Carolina Air National Guard (NCANG) C-17 Globemaster III Aircraft prepare for landing at Biggs Army Airfield, after traveling from Pope Army Airfield in North Carolina carrying soldiers from the North Carolina Army National Guard, at Biggs Army Airfield, Fort Bliss Texas, August 1, 2018. The mission to Pope Field was the first of what is hoped to be many made by the NCANG, by October the unit plans to begin supporting Airdrop missions with weekly flights to Pope Field, picking up Soldiers and Cargo for regular Airborne operations.
