Bank of America Chicago Marathon satellite runners work their way around a puddle as they pass by one of numerous "t-walls" covered in sandbags and razor-sharp concertina wire during the first laps in Kabul, Afghanistan, Oct. 7. More than 120 soldiers, airmen, sailors, Marines and civilians from numerous coalition nations showed up for the early morning start of the marathon, which raised more than $12,000 for the St. Jude Research Hospital.
