U.S. Air Force Capt. William Boland, a native of Mendota Heights, Minn., catches his breath right after finishing first palce at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon satellite in Kabul, Afghanistan, Oct. 7. More than 120 Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines and civilians from numerous coalition nations showed up for the early morning start of the marathon, which raised more than $12,000 for the St. Jude Research Hospital.
