Lance Cpl. Marines with Company G, part of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Ground Combat Element, train for sea-based amphibious operations using small inflatable boats, called Combat Rubber Raiding Craft. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide-range of military operations across the Indo-Pacific region.
