“Oscar,” a 75-foot mechanized landing craft operated by U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the Navy Boat Docks at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., is transported by a giant crane, Oct. 31, 2018. The Sailors took Oscar to a commercial boat yard near Beaufort, N.C., capable of hoisting the heavy boat out of the water. In addition to the scheduled maintenance on Oscar, the Sailors also conduct maintenance on five other naval vessels to maintain readiness for future Cherry Point missions.
