    U.S. Coast Guard District 7

Q: What is your name and what do you do in the Coast Guard?

    A: Jean C. Jimenez. I am an MST3 at IMD and I mainly respond/investigate
    pollution related incidents.

Q: Describe diversity in a word or two and explain what it means to you.

A: Inclusion- To me diversity means that we are all unique individuals with different backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and beliefs that make us who we are.

Q: How has your experience and background prepared you to be effective at
    your job?

A: Being from Puerto Rico and having the ability to speak a different language
has been an immense help in the USCG. For example, as a brand new non-rate on
the CGC Diamondback in Atlantic Beach, I was able to utilize my skills during
migrant interdictions and help us complete the mission.

Q: Tell me a little bit about your life outside of work.

A: In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach, watching sports, theme parks,
    and playing video games.
