In the early morning of Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, NC National Guard’s Joint Force Headquarters “big voice” announcement system loudly stated “Exercise, Exercise, Exercise….Active Shooter drill has begun…The headquarters and surrounding facility is now in lockdown.. All Wardens report into Joint Operations Center (JOC) via radio.”
Photo: Within 90 seconds of the simulated active shooter gunshots being reported, the Joint Force Headquarters Security Response Team (SRT) sprang into action and moved to the location of the incident.
