In the early morning of Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, NC National Guard’s Joint Force Headquarters “big voice” announcement system loudly stated “Exercise, Exercise, Exercise….Active Shooter drill has begun…The headquarters and surrounding facility is now in lockdown.. All Wardens report into Joint Operations Center (JOC) via radio.”
Photo: The State Highway Patrol linked up at the ICP and began directing their armed security team into the building to locate shooter, identify any injured persons in the building and assess the situation.
