In the early morning of Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, NC National Guard’s Joint Force Headquarters “big voice” announcement system loudly stated “Exercise, Exercise, Exercise….Active Shooter drill has begun…The headquarters and surrounding facility is now in lockdown.. All Wardens report into Joint Operations Center (JOC) via radio.”
Photo: Within no time, an Incident Command Post was established by the JFHQ Provost Marshall and Highway Patrol to manage the event and meet the needs of responders and to act with a common purpose and objective.
