A Ugandan Community Animal Health worker locates his name badge on the first day of a Veterinarian Civic Action Program class conducted by the U.S. Army 448th Civil Affairs Battalion here April 23. The VETCAP, a two-week training program where best practices on veterinary public health, supports Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa's overall mission in East Africa. The focus is to develop the district veterinary office's ability to identify and conduct surveillance of significant livestock diseases in the area through CAHW training.
