Community Animal Health workers participate in a group exercise during the U.S. Army 448th Civil Affairs Battalions Veterinarian Civic Action Program at St. Kizito Hospital training facility here, April 24. The VETCAP is a two-week training program where information is exchanged on veterinary public health in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa's overall mission in East Africa. The focus is to develop the district veterinary office's ability to identify and conduct surveillance of significant livestock diseases in the area through CAHW training.
