Anna Lochoro, a Community Animal Health worker, holds her baby during a break on the first day of the U.S. Army 448th Civil Affairs Battalion's Veterinarian Civic Action Program at the St. Kizito Hospital training facility here, April 23. The VETCAP is a two-week program where information is exchanged on veterinary public health in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa's overall mission in East Africa. The focus is to develop the district veterinary office's ability to identify and conduct surveillance of significant livestock diseases in the area through CAHW training.
