    Ugandan students participate in 448th Civil Affairs Battalion Veterinary Program

    U.S. Army Capt. Dan Crowell, of Elko, Nev., lead veterinarian for the 448th Civil Affairs Battalion Functional Specialty Cell, introduces himself to 40 Community Animal Health workers of Napak district at the St. Kizitio training facility here during Veterinarian Civic Action Program class April 23. The VETCAP is a two week training program where information is exchanged on veterinary public health in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa's overall mission in East Africa. The focus is to develop the district veterinary office's ability to identify and conduct surveillance of significant livestock diseases in the area through CAHW training.
