Matt Johnson, program manager, describes the patient rooms to Heidi Hedberg, director of Alaska Division of Public Health, and Gov. Mike Dunleavy while touring the alternative care facility with Col. Phillip Borders, commander of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers - Alaska District, at the Alaska Airlines Center on April 15 in Anchorage. To help the state with its fight against COVID-19, the Corps is executing a mission assignment from the Federal Emergency Management Agency that is focused on addressing a possible shortage of medical facilities in Alaska.
