“So, I’ve PFC Emee Irvin, I’m a 27 Delta which is a paralegal in the Army National Guard. I’m currently in school working on my civilian certification and a few other things as well. I love Jesus and I’m having a lot of fun out here.
I am with a medical unit. They were calling people to mobilize, and I wasn’t even aware of what I was actually going to be doing but I said sure, school was down, I can go be active and do something and so I’m here.
It’s pretty rewarding, just having people come out and working with the medics, I’m learning a lot and that’s a big thing for me. I feel like I’m learning a lot and helping people who are so grateful. You don’t realize it, but I feel like I’m part of history at this point.
I want the community to know that my team is hard working for them. We are all about the people, helping them, making sure they are comfortable when they are here, educated on what’s going on when they come, that they are not afraid. First and foremost, we need to make sure everyone is okay. That is our sole purpose. So, my team makes sure they are safe so we keep everyone else safe.” (U.S. Army Photo by CW2 Michael Kanzler)
