(Nov. 10, 2020) Naval Submarine Base (SUBASE) New London Ombudsman Assembly Chairperson Christie Fricke and her husband, Chief Hospital Corpsman George Fricke, pose with the U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Sybil Stockdale Ombudsman of the Year Award. Fricke, who is also command ombudsman for USS Hartford, received the award in a in a closed, limited-attendance, physically-distanced, and virus-mitigated ceremony in the base Dealey Center Theater. She was recognized for her exceptional work as a crew-to-family liaison and was selected for the honor from more 1,900 ombudsmen.
