(Nov. 10, 2020) Naval Submarine Base (SUBASE) New London Ombudsman Assembly Chairperson Christie Fricke poses for a photo with her husband, Chief Hospital Corpsman George Fricke; her grandmother Evelyn Green; and her father retired Command Master Chief Dennis H. Green, after receiving the U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Sybil Stockdale Ombudsman of the Year Award. Fricke, who is also command ombudsman for USS Hartford, received the award in a in a closed, limited-attendance, physically-distanced, and virus-mitigated ceremony in the base Dealey Center Theater. She was recognized for her exceptional work as a crew-to-family liaison and was selected for the honor from more 1,900 ombudsmen.
