    U.S. Army Reserve Capt. Alex Gardiner, commander, 478th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne), Perrine, Florida, is assisted into a rescue boat following his Deliberate Water Jump into Biscayne Bay, Miami-Dade County Nov. 19, 2021. The airborne operation was the culminating event of a week-long training hosted by the 478th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne), U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne).

    The USACAPOC(A) week-long training included a Jumpmaster Refresher course, the Army Reserve Airborne Safety Equipment and Evaluation Council, airborne operations at Homestead Air Reserve Base, and the Deliberate Water Jump which involved coordination with several outside agencies including the Coast Guard, and Miami-Dade Police, Fire and Rescue and Parks Department.
