U.S. Army Reserve paratroopers from across the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) descend into Biscayne Bay, Miami-Dade County Nov. 19, 2021, as part of a Deliberate Water Jump. The jump was the concluding event of the Army Reserve Airborne Safety Equipment and Evaluation Council held in Homestead, Florida.
The weeklong event, hosted by the 478th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne), located at Perrine, Florida, included a Jumpmaster Refresher course, the AR-ASEEC, airborne operations at Homestead Air Reserve Base, and the Deliberate Water Jump which involved coordination with several outside agencies including the Coast Guard, and Miami-Dade Police, Fire and Rescue and Parks Department.
